This is an original Thomas Pheasant design recasting an elaborate Art Deco form into a cleaner modern form. With an obvious sense of precision and geometry, there are concentric levels-and a terraced look. The Terrace is simply one of those classic building blocks that can go anywhere, can really be used, and begs to be used as a platform for displaying objet de art.
While inset, the substantial shelves are still thick enough to project over the rim. That creates another visual step or level. European clear glass is used to keep the shelves subtle-and a statement rug nicely in view. Square brass heels are the one couture indulgence to an otherwise pure form.
