The Reata Drinks Server responds to Laura Kirar's instinct as a trained sculptor working in the context of Modern furniture. While the lines of the table have a very rectilinear, almost reeded look, cast iron vines appear to climb as they would on a trellis. The pewter finish on the vine adds to the depth and shadow of the sculpture. With a full gallery, a reeded look, and flaring feet, the form itself is almost neoclassical. Gray glass and a spare approach make it Modern. Suitable for glasses, bottles, and general serving.
