An original design from Laura Kirar, the Noir reflects the restrained geometric character of Vienna Secession design-an evolution from Biedermeier to Art Deco. Depending on the finish, it can look modern, more vintage, or even casual contemporary. With that flexibility, the most important aspect of this table might be its ideal urban or condo scale.
The Noir has an architecturally stepped top with a sunburst match and a blend border. The emphasis on that marquetry varies with the finish. The shaped, blade-like pedestal is reminiscent of a motif popularized by Josef Hoffmann, a leader of the Vienna Secession. A concave plinth base offers special visual appeal from a distance.
