A fine Queen Anne Chest from Howick Hall is inlaid with finely figured walnut veneer and features a rectangular top with molded borders and quartered panels. A discreet pull-out shelf is inset with a tooled leather panel and fitted with brass knobs. The two short and three graduated long drawers are surrounded by cushion-shaped molding and set with pierced back plates and brass swan neck handles. The chest rests on square slightly shaped bracket feet. English Circa 1705.
