Next, each piece is covered with sheets of brass, then a subtle scratch pattern is applied on the brass prior to a protective topcoat to prevent tarnishing. Due to the nature of handcrafting, your piece may display subtle imperfections in the placement of nails and tacks, or slight wrapping of the brass over edges and around corners.
