About This Product

Tuxedo arm chair with strong convergence. Tight back with decorative buttons over a loose cushion seat. Welt-framed back and sides. Thin wood banding. Round tapered legs with brass ferrules. Named for Christopher Wren, the 17th and 18th century designer who rebuilt much of London after the fire, this chair is interior architecture. At its best in an open floor plan. A better opportunity for contrasting fabric or welt than the sofa of the same design. Often specified in leather.

About This Collection

aab58888_rgb.jpg

Interior Design magazine described Bill Sofield as “a choreographer of spaces.” Considered one of the most thoughtful design talents of his generation and a true master of Modernism, Sofield believes that design must serve the client’s individual needs and function as beautifully as it looks. Sofield’s design approach introduces creative tension that allows the character of a room to reveal itself over time. And his furniture and product design map out each object’s future, designing it to improve with use and age, as it eventually becomes  a treasured heirloom.
